Sleeping Giants

Romans 13:11-14

And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Realize something. We have been dormant for too long. Whether the cares of this life, disunity, or lack of self confidence, there are some giants in here that need to wake up. You are those giants in the Holy Ghost. You’re not just the ordinary. You are a warrior and it’s time to shake yourself.

You’ll never be enough

Perfection is impossible.

2 Corinthians 4:7 “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”

God can use anything for His glory. So don’t underestimate yourself.

A lowly earthen vessel we are but that’s the beauty of God choosing us. So don’t go cowering back into the corner thinking you are too lowly to be used. Or that you can’t be used in certain ways. Have you not been walking closely with God this whole time? He guides the ones close to Him with His eye. You won’t go anywhere looking down at the ground.

Lift up your head child of God.

You were made for His glory.

You were made for so much more than you realize.

You were made to walk in the Spirit.

The world sucks us in. The devil would like to distract us with the cares of this life.

The devil is a liar.

Focus on God.

2 Corinthians 4:18- “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

Get out of your head. Stop all the worrying. God’s got it. You’ll never live to your full potential by focusing on someone else’s journey.

It’s Up to You

If you don’t strive to save the people around you, who will?
It requires work. Good old fashioned work.
It requires commitment.
A sleeping bear, as great and powerful as he is, is useless if he remains in hibernation.

No one is coming.
You’re not going to wait for pastor to pray.
You’re not going to wait for your parents to pray. You’re not waiting for the youth team to pray.
You’re going to do it.
